Dave Welch, DO
Dr. Welch began his medical career as an orderly at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona in in 1972. He finished his residency in Emergency Medicine in 1986 and completed Board Cerification in Emergency Medicine in 1992. Dr Welch has served as the base hospital medical director at both rural and urban Emergency Centers. He has been devoted to EMS and has served as the EMS Medical Director for several fire departments and EMS agencies, and college paramedic programs.
He is an active ACLS instructor and medical director for ACLS programs. He was one of the original Basic Trauma Life Support instructors for the American College of Emergency Physicians in Arizona. He is the Medical Director, Vice President and Co-Owner of Wilderness Medics, Inc. and the President of Welch Aviation. Dr Welch was the founder and past Program Director for the first Osteopathic Emergency Medicine Residency program in Arizona.
